Cormac Murphy, Sailing Director at The WaterFront Center and founder/ skipper of BSR Match Racing, has had a successful year in 2023. With the support from The WaterFront Center, Cormac has led his team around the country to many National and International competitions, competing against the best racers in the world. 2023 Annual Appeal

This past weekend was Oyster Bay’s 40th Annual Oyster Festival weekend in New York! Although we might have had to cancel some programs due to inclement weather, we still had a successful weekend connecting the community to the water with our massive touch-tank and historical Oyster Sloop CHRISTEEN! 

Sail the evening away with some light-hearted racing in a fun atmosphere that is the hallmark of the community experience at The WaterFront Center! We invite sailors of all skill levels to sail alongside each other in a quirky one-design fleet race.

As the season starts to change so does our schedule! This fall, there are so many different ways to explore Oyster Bay on the water with The WaterFront Center! Explore & Celebrate The History and nature Of Oyster Bay Harbor. Fall brings about a beautiful time of change within our environment! Join The WaterFront Center and Friends of the Bay for a kayaking tour of Mill Neck Creek, where you’ll discover the area's history and ecology that make it unique!

Fall is the perfect time for sailors of all ages and skill levels to learn and improve their capabilities. Younger children can continue or start their summer journey with Opti sailing for all skill levels. We also offer a High School Sailing Team for teenagers to sail in C420s to develop their teamwork, critical thinking, and technical sailing skills. Give your child the opportunity to meet new friends, learn to sail, & gain confidence on the water with The WaterFront Center.
