A Memorable Trip to Mamaroneck: Partnering with the Marine Education Center

The recent trip to Mamaroneck and our collaboration with the Marine Education Center (MEC) was nothing short of extraordinary. A huge shout-out to Cam Jenness, Connor Miller, and Hunter Gonzalez-Cadillo, for their tireless dedication, putting in 14-hour days with remarkable professionalism to represent the Waterfront Community (WFC). Their commitment made this experience truly special. Thank you to the volunteer crew of IDA MAY, John Willison, Richard Shlueck, Penny Van Riper, OJ Donovan, and David Kellogg for their time and for their commitment to the long days on the water.

Over the course of two days, we welcomed a diverse group of visitors, including school groups, parents with their children, and key stakeholders ranging from Mamaroneck town officials to major benefactors of the MEC. Each interaction showcased the strength and spirit of our community, fostering meaningful connections.

The enthusiasm and support from everyone involved left us with a strong, positive impression of the WFC and a shared excitement for future collaborations with the MEC.

A tremendous amount of credit goes to Ken Knowles for nurturing this partnership and for making IDA MAY’s visit possible. Scroll down and enjoy this short video, beautifully produced by Ken Knowles, capturing the essence of our time in Mamaroneck.
