MAKING AN IMPACT AND TRANSFORMING LIVES

2024 Annual Report & 2025 Annual Appeal

As we reflect on another transformative year at The WaterFront Center, I am filled with gratitude for the many individuals, families, and partners who make our work possible. I am happy to share with you this year’s Annual Report — a snapshot of the progress, impact, and inspiration that unfolded at The WaterFront Center.

Over the past 25 years, we have witnessed the profound effect that marine science education and sailing have on people of all ages. Whether it’s a child discovering a live horseshoe crab for the first time, a teenager learning to navigate the wind and waves, or an adult finding a deeper connection to nature through our harbor tours, our programs build confidence, foster environmental stewardship, and create lifelong memories.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve expanded our reach and enhanced our curriculum, allowing us to serve over 10,000 participants last year alone. From school field trips and summer camps to adaptive sailing and community outreach, every experience at The WaterFront Center reinforces our mission of connecting people to the water through education and recreation.

But this work doesn’t happen on its own.

Your support is vital. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on donations to maintain our fleet, fund scholarships for underserved youth, care for our marine animals, and ensure that our programming remains accessible to all. Every dollar you contribute directly fuels hands-on learning and the kind of joyful discovery that only the natural world can provide.

I invite you to make a gift today. Together, we can continue to inspire the next generation of sailors, scientists, and environmental leaders

Thank you for being part of our community and for believing in the power of the water to teach, heal, and transform.

With appreciation,

Elisa M. Santoro
