Taking Classes in The Winter = More Sailing In The Summer!
Learn why to sign up for Beginner Keelboat Winter Prep track. This program consists of four 4-Hour sessions, two classroom-based sessions in the winter at The WaterFront Center, and two on-water sessions in the spring on a Sonar with a certified instructor. This course is perfect for those who have little to no experience sailing, who want to gain confidence and knowledge in the classroom before they hop aboard the real thing.

Why You Need an NYS Boating Safety Certificate!
Under "Brianna's Law," New York State requires all motorboat operators, regardless of age will need a boating safety certificate beginning in 2025. The WaterFront Center offers an NYS Boating Safety Certificate course that will meet these requirements. Please check the NYS website if you were born after January 1st, 1978, as you may be required to have a boating safety certificate before 2025.

2022 Spring Youth Programs Now Available!
Spring is a perfect time for beginners to prepare for the summer sailing season and dip their toes into the world of racing! Our program offers classes for all skill levels and features the International Optimist Dinghy (opti) and the c420. Give your child the opportunity to meet new friends, learn to sail, & gain confidence on the water.

Nikolas Wiggins Earns JSA High Point Award
Nikolas Wiggins, a WFC Opti Race Team sailor, was awarded the JSA High Point Award for Opti Area A! The award is presented to the Opti sailor who earned the highest percentage of wins throughout the season. Congratulations Nikolas for this well-earned accomplishment!

Dale Carnegie Global Day of Giving
Every year Dale Carnegie and their offices around the world set aside October 22nd, their organization's founding’s day, to give back to their communities and impact the lives of young adults, educators, and support non-profit organizations by providing time, talent or free training. This year they decided to join us to clean up our local beach, Beekman Beach!
