We teach you on a boat you can charter!

After the completion of Learn to Sail 3b and 20 hours on the water as a skipper, students will sail aboard a 36ft Mariner with five other students aboard. The two-day weekend course is spent aboard the boat and underway. Prepare for longer voyages and earn your US Sailing Basic Cruising Certification.

This 2-day US Powerboating course is NASBLA and USCG approved. It includes a combination of on-the-water and classroom instruction. You will work alongside other students (or schedule a private course) to learn boat handling maneuvers, safety procedures, and boating laws. Whether you’re learning from the beginning, a long-time boater looking for certification, obtaining experience for a job opportunity, or trying to reduce your boat insurance costs, this is the course for you! Students can earn most state boating certifications, such as the CA Boater Card or NJ Boating Safety Certificate. For more information about state certifications please contact us.

The Accelerated SPH course is just a shorter version of the state-approved certification focused on practicing boat handling skills. This accelerated course is 8-12 hours, 80% of which is on-the-water instruction. To receive the US Powerboating certification, students will be tested via written exam (50 Qs) and practical assessments. Successful students are those who have studied the books and completed the review questions before the class begins. If you have any questions while studying, we are available via email/phone/Facebook. This accelerated course is more flexible than the standard Safe Powerboat Handling because it does not include the lengthy classroom portions.
