Marine Discovery Program

The WaterFront Center is excited to offer all schools and groups our seasonal Two-For-One Program Special. We are a not-for-profit marine education center, located on the water in historic Oyster Bay. We offer many programs from the beach, to our classroom, to yours. The WFC emphasizes a hands-on and minds-on approach to learning for students from pre-k to high school designed to support the NYS science core curriculum.

Students learn effectively when they are actively engaged in the discovery process. Our programs provide students with opportunities to interact directly with the natural world. Allowing students to practice problem-solving skills and develop a positive attitude toward their living environment that can last a lifetime.

Popular field trips or in-school programs include: Harbor Habitats (exploration of three major habitats); Water Everywhere (water cycle); Touch Tank of local marine animals (including animal adaptations and invasive species); Estuary Exploration; Stars of the Sound; Seashells to Sea Creatures and The Biology of Plankton.
