After School Opti
For intermediate and advanced sailors looking to stay sharp in the “off season.” Practices are skill based and dynamic, providing the perfect opportunity to build racing skills and sailing confidence.
Schedule: Spring Season: May 4 - June 15; Fall Season: Sept 7 - Nov 2
Time: 1-4pm
Fee: $40 per session
Ages: Grades 5-10
Weight Recommendation: 50-110lbs
Prerequisite: Swim Test
* The WFC reserves the right to cancel any instructional sailing course if enrollment is less than 2 people.
Cancellation Policy:
*Should a summer program participant suffer an illness or injury prior to their camp start date which prevents them from participating in regular camp activities (a note from a doctor will be required) the balance paid will be refunded less a $75.00 processing fee. Should a summer program participant decide not to attend a program for other reasons, not related to illness or injury, the balance paid will be non-refundable, UNLESS the WaterFront Center is able to confirm a fully-paid replacement for the spot before summer program begins. A $75.00 processing fee would apply.
Under no circumstances will a refund be issued once a program has begun.

Optimist Spring Fever
Eager to get on the water? Join us for “spring training” in Optis and get a jump start on the sailing season! Suitable for all skill levels.

Back-to-School Fall Optimist Sailing
Just because summer is over doesn't mean sailing has to be... beat the back to school blues on the water! Savor cooler days and steady breezes while improving sailing skills. Suitable for all skill levels.

Fall Opti Racing
Enjoy competitive series racing with local convenience. Store your boat and gear here, or borrow ours. Each racing session will conclude with a coaches debrief. Series awards on the final day of racing.
Fall sailing is one of the best ways to improve racing skills. Local access and consistent breezes make WFC the ideal spot to keep your skills sharp. Fun and competitive racing will be led by supportive coaches to make sure you keep improving with every finish! Enjoy on-shore family BBQ afterwards for $5/person.

Fee: $150 Full Season; $25 Pay per Play. WFC Boat Charter: $100 Full Season; $20 per Session

Jr Keelboat
Enjoy learning to skipper and crew a 23’ Sonar with up to four friends with an instructor on board. Sailors learn to work together to perform basic keelboat sailing maneuvers with an emphasis on safety and seamanship. Great for groups!
Sailors will build teamwork as they learn to rig and set sail together. Basic knots, safety protocol, wind awareness, points of sail, tacking, gybing and Crew Overboard Recovery will be covered.
Schedule: 3 hours/day for one week; scheduled at your convenience
Time: 1-4pm
Fee: $1450 per group (4 children per group)

High School Sailing
WFC is proud to offer the premier open access High School Sailing Program on Long Island! Sailors of all skill-levels are invited to join and experience race training in our 420s. Enjoy fleet and team racing, bring your team or sail with ours! WFC provides the fleet, coaching, safety boats, regatta support, and can help you get a team started for your school.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:30-6pm
Saturdays & Sundays 1-4pm
Spring Season: March 19 – June 3
Fall Season: Sept 4 – Nov 4
Fee: $550 Full Season; $350 10-Session Package; $35 Pay per Play
